About Once Upon A Time Weddings

We are a family owned wedding business in middle Georgia.  We would be honored if you would begin your happily ever after here with us.

The house on the property was built in 1857. Generations of families share this house as a common bond of blood, sweat, tears and memories. The Hughes’ family purchased the property in August 2013. Our dream was unique – we envisioned this being where couples exchanged vows and started their “happily ever after”. Pulling all of our talents together has allowed us to do the majority of restoration ourselves; many lessons have been learned about construction, business, and God’s grace of providing us with our family: followers of Christ, family and best friends. Three other buildings reside on the property: a cabin, an old barn, and a new open pole barn built by the men in our family, embellished with stained glass windows fashioned by our parents. The house is open to the bridal party and immediate family while gearing up for their big day. The kitchen is also accessible for the caterers and serves as a warming area. Imagine this: bride and groom exchanging vows on the steps of an altar, outside, uncovered in front of their family and friends sitting on our complementary wooden hand crafted benches. The reception follows under the covered 50x60 pole-barn, lit by chandelier, Christmas lights and charming mason jars. Should the weather be uncooperative, the barn will also provide shelter during the ceremony. Sisters, Shannon Hughes & Allison Ross, of Shannon Hughes Photography have been in the business for over 10 years!  We are the exclusive photographers at the venue. Each bride received a custom 10x10 Story Album and 3 digital copies of the wedding images. On average, you receive 75 edited images per hour of coverage. Engagement sessions, parent albums and guest books also available.
